This week has gone by pretty quickly, can't believe it's already Thursday night! On Tuesday, I resumed teaching my aerobics class at the YMCA. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but it felt really good to be back and I could tell that some of my students missed me while I was gone. Some of them were asking if I went on a vacation - I said, "No, just needed to take some time-off." I hadn't worked out since the middle of January - but I survived the class! I'm going to keep teaching as long as I can. Since the frozen embryo transfer won't involve the Gonal-F to make me grow more follicles or the egg retrieval, I'm thinking I will probably be able to work-out right up until the embryo transfer. But we'll just play it by ear and follow the doctor's instructions. My boss at the YMCA has been super-duper understanding and the other instructors stepped up to sub for me during the last cycle- so it's nice not to have to worry about that when things get going again.
Quite a few neighborhood ladies have been hosting jewelry/bag parties at their house - so I've been enjoying a little retail therapy at my friend's houses. It's been nice to just hang out with the girls and check out some new stuff. I'm excited to wear my new jewelry - 3 new necklaces and 2 new pairs of earrings. And I got a really cute baby gift for a dear friend! I also baked some sugar cookies this week in honor of the two newest neighbors on the street. Our one neighbors had a baby girl (Rhyslee) on the 15th and our other neighbors had a baby boy (Ethan) on the 22nd. (Those babies are lucky to each share a birthday with two dear friends of mine as well.) I frosted half pink and half blue - looking forward to dropping them off sometime over the next couple of days.
There was a blood drive at my work today, so I donated blood and saved 3 lives this morning. During the questionnaire before you donate, I did truthfully answer that I have had "vaccinations or shots" within a certain time period. When the nurse asked me about that response, I explained that we did in-vitro. The system had a couple options, but I told her to pick the "Fertility shots - not pregnant" option. Of course I love saving lives, but I must admit - I really look forward to the Oreo cookies afterwards. My veins aren't that great, so they usually use this teeny tiny vein on my left arm. The nurse was a little nervous about using such a little vein - but it was able to give a pint of blood (just took 16 minutes) - the little vein that could. :)
Even though we're anxious to jump into our frozen embryo transfer cycle, it has been nice to get back to "normal." This week we are back into a routine that doesn't involve any test results or daily shots or trips to the doctor's office. The added bonus of all of the neighborhood parties has been nice for me, too. Only 4 more days until our appointment with Dr. Williams. We are looking forward to hearing what he has to say and hopefully planning out our frozen embryo cycle.
